Target Optical
Target Optical is one of the largest retail eyewear companies in the United States, as well as being one of Wunderkind’s key enterprise clients. Working with another senior designer, we ensured that the work was of high quality while meeting their precise branding guidelines.
These designs were first designed in Figma for client approval, heavily referencing their current marketing emails and onsite designs. After undergoing several rounds of copy and design edits, the creatives were approved for coding. Onsite was done using Wunderkind's in-house proprietary software. Unlike the previous workflow where the Design team would usually pass it on to the email engineers for coding emails, the emails were a test to show off the capabilities of Wunderkind’s Studio software, designed to be self-serviceable and allowing for non-engineers with some coding knowledge to build emails on their own. Since Target Optical’s emails were complex and required some custom blocks to be built entirely through HTML/CSS code, I coded several email sections tailored to each module on my own with minimal help. These included blocks such as dynamically populated grids, navigation header bars, and footers that could hold long disclaimers.
For onsite, we provided the client 3 overlay options to choose from for their entrance and exit email capture strategies.
All of the designs strictly followed Target Optical’s branding guidelines and are designed to be responsive across all devices. While following the client’s branding, I applied Wunderkind’s best practices for improved performance, including accessibility standards and page load speeds onsite.
Target Optical is currently in onboarding as of July 2024 undergoing technical implementations and QA testing.
