Coral Reef Extinction Poster
A poster bringing to attention to the coral reef crisis happening right now. While doing research on my topic, I found a statistic that stated that 25% of all marine species depend on the coral reefs as a home. Unfortunately, if the coral reefs continue to deteriorate, these species will lose one of their basic necessities, which also negatively impacts the larger ecosystem. With this in mind, I used a visual metaphor of a fishbowl being poured out to allude to the bigger crisis happening to coral reefs right. The inclusion of hands pouring out the bowl also alludes to the impact human activities have on the destruction of coral reefs. Lastly, the 3 goldfish in the fishbowl while one is being poured out is a reference to the statistic stated in the poster.
